Reporter arrested for trespassing
- A Pennsylvania reporter was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing for refusing to leave private property while seeking information at a non-profit agency.
Police in York, Pa., carried a reporter from a non-profit agency’s building last week after the reporter refused repeated requests by the police and workers to leave the grounds, authorities said.
On March 5, Andrew Broman of the York Daily Record refused to leave the Housing Council of York County after closing hours because workers there would not answer his questions about the agency’s spending habits with government money.
The Housing Council assists low-income residents in the community.
Police arrested Broman. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing and released.
