Correction
Nov. 6, 2003 — In our Nov. 4 story on the settlement of Linda Tripp’s Privacy Act suit, it was mistakenly reported that, according to a 1998 story in The New Yorker, Linda Tripp was a juvenile at the time of her arrest in 1969.
The New Yorker actually reported that Tripp was a “teenager” at the time of the arrest. According to the Greenwood Lake Police Department arrest report, Tripp was 19 years old. She was charged with grand larceny, but the charges were reduced to loitering in a plea bargain.
