An Army appeals court has criticized a Fort Carson officer for closing a court-martial hearing involving the interrogation death of an Iraqi general and ordered future hearings to be open unless classified information is aired. The court said the Army ruling to bar the public was “ill-considered, overbroad and clearly erroneous.” The Denver Post has sued to have the hearings opened. (2/25/05)
