An appeals court declined to release the names of drivers ticketed through remote, red-light camera surveillance. The data had been requested by an attorney in 2003 and twice rejected at the lower court level. The attorney, Daniel Wemhoff, was seeking to arrange a class action against use of the cameras. The court said receipt of a legal solicitation was more than a slight intrusion on a person’s privacy. (12/22/05)
