Now You See Public Hearing Transcript, Now You Don’t

A public hearing on airspace security restrictions was held January 18 near Dulles Airport, reported locally and in aviation magazines. A transcript was posted Federal Aviation Agency’s website. Now it’s gone, replaced with a notice saying the transcript is “presently unavailable.” Yanked by the Defense Department and Transportation Security Administration is a more accurate explanation. It may have something to do with a private pilot’s criticism of the proposed restrictions by suggesting an easy way to negate the security measures. (3/10/06)
