Delaware’s Attorney General said Middletown must disclose the names of 29 employees given interest-free loans with taxpayers money. The public has as “legitimate interest” in knowing the details, including the names of the borrowers, the AG’s office said, and the borrowers “must expect that there will be public oversight.” The town had granted $216,000 in loans since the program started in early 2004.
