A declassified summary says that Valerie Plame was a covert CIA agent at the time she was outed in a Robert Novak column in July, 2003, and that the agency was “taking affirmative measures to conceal her intelligence relationship to the United States.” The summary was filed by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald as part of the sentencing hearing for Lweis I.
