Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said he does not believe cameras should be allowed in the nation’s highest court because “The dynamics of the room change considerably when cameras show up, and they don’t change for the better.” Thomas made his comment in response to a question following a speech in West Palm Beach. He also said the questions asked at hearings by his colleagues are largely unnecessary. (12/13/07)
