Anna G. Bahn

Anna Gutierrez Bahn is the Communications Manager for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. In her role, Anna develops and supports the organization’s communications strategies around key initiatives, campaigns, projects and announcements. She also uses analytics to inform and oversee execution of the Reporters Committee’s digital strategy, and is responsible for managing RCFP’s social media and email outreach.

In 2021, Anna served as chair for the Reporters Committee’s Race, Equity and Inclusion Working Group, where she secured staff-wide DEI training and encouraged discussions about pay equity.

Prior to joining the Reporters Committee in 2018, Anna worked on the communications team at the Society of Professional Journalists.

A Texas native, Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA, Anna served as the editor-in-chief of The Shorthorn, the student-run, award-winning multi-platform news agency.

She lives in Washington, D.C., with her spouse Cody, and their dogs, Lilly and Watson.
