Annie Cappetta
Annie Cappetta joins the Reporters Committee as a Legal Intern. She is a rising third-year law student at Vanderbilt Law School interested in civil rights, press freedom, and open access. Annie is originally from Chicago, but went to University of Miami to study political science and ecosystem science. While in Miami, she also worked in journalism as a freelance reporter and Managing Editor of The Miami Hurricane newspaper. Last summer, she interned at Electronic Frontier Foundation and the South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center and worked on a wide array of issues from SNAP access, to border searches, to free speech. She will stay in Tennessee upon graduating law school for a 2021-2023 judicial clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee with Judge Travis R. McDonough.
