Emily Gayton

Emily Gayton is the Audience Engagement Fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press where she contributes to social media presence and engagement, assists with internal communications and more. Prior to her fellowship, Emily worked in nonprofit communications and development with Thirst Project, a nonprofit organization that mobilizes young people in global issues including the water crisis and their parent company, Legacy Youth Leadership.

Emily is a Western New York native but graduated with honors from Ohio University where she was a Cutler Scholar. She earned a degree in journalism and minors in political science and psychology.
