Michael Zwirn
Michael Zwirn is the Reporters Committee's director of development, responsible for the organization’s donor outreach and fundraising.
Michael brings a strong track record communicating policy and program outcomes to donors and the public, and expertise in fundraising operations, partnership development, and strategic communications. Previously, Michael worked in international development and wildlife and forest conservation, policy think tanks, and research institutions, along with political and policy advocacy in both a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) context.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Carleton College and a master’s of law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where he focused on International Environment and Resource Policy and Southwest Asia and Islamic Civilization.
He lives with his wife, son, and cat in Washington, D.C.
