Richard Jewell sure put together a determined legal team. After the Olympic Park bombing hero-turned-suspect-turned serial litgant died in August, his lawyers continued to pursue his libel claim against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, substituting themselves as plaintiffs in the case. And even after a judge dismissed the last of the 22 libel claims Jewell initially lodged, Journal-Constitution lawyers still think the fight may not be over, pointing to the plaintiffs’ statement that “numerous potential errors throughout the eleven year history of this case will eventually be subject to appeal following trial.”
